When it comes to Christian Crime fiction I would have to say that Janice Cantore is top notch and is quickly becoming my favorite author in that genre because of her well developed characters and the authenticity of her books (not a small wonder since she is a retired cop).I was beyond excited when I received my copy of the 2nd book in the Critical Pursuit series and it certainly did not disappoint! I have to say that I like the Critical Pursuit series even better than the Pacific Coast Justice series and that is saying a lot!
Once again Officer Brinna is on her crusade to save the innocents of the world, when she meets orphans Ivana and her sister who are from Bulgariam, but instead of finding the American dream they have found something much more sinister. As Brinna and homicide detective Jack O'Reilly dig deeper into the case of a young woman found dead with a mysterious tattoo on her hip, they quickly find themselves dragged into the dark world of human trafficking.
I cannot recommend this book enough, yes it deals with some gritty things, but human trafficking is a huge problem, much larger than most people realize and it is something that people need to be more aware of and help prevent.
I received a copy of this book from Tyndale in exchange for my honest review.
