I love this series! Filled with strong female leads that are not afraid to be strong and kick some butts this series is great! I am so Maddy and Quinn finally get a story of their own as I have enjoyed getting to know them in previous books. As Maddy and Quinn get in the crossfire of a depraved serial killer who loves playing games with his victims,they try to figure out how to survive and realize how much they mean to each other. This book really keeps you on the edge of your seat! Filled with memorable characters and a super creepy villain this book is a great thriller.

Rescue me by Susan May Warren
Yet another enthralling read by a well known author that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved the beautifully flawed characters in this book that were ever-so- likable. Willow was such a likable character who grew and developed over the book, it was fun watching her gain confidence and grow as the book progressed. As Willow and Sam find themselves in very trying situations they learn to rely on one another and on the Lord.
This book was an easy and enjoyable read, the biggest flaw in my opinion was how the drama was a bit over the top, one bad thing after another kept happening that it got a bit old, but I guess that is what makes it fiction.

Making marriage beautiful by Dorothy Greco
{MORE ABOUT MAKING MARRIAGE BEAUTIFUL}
Making Marriage Beautiful (David C Cook, January 2017)
What makes a marriage beautiful? Honesty? Compatibility? Physical and emotional intimacy?
All of these are important, but there’s one component that determines the quality and longevity of a marriage more than anything else: a willingness to grow.
Because a wedding joins together two imperfect people, all couples experience disappointment, conflict, and pain. How husbands and wives respond to these challenges determines the kind of people they will become and the kind of marriage they will have.
Making Marriage Beautiful reveals how the pursuit of Christ results in profound transformation for both the individual and the marriage. Rather than offering clichés and formulas, Greco relies on candor, humor, and real life stories to bring encouragement and wisdom to all couples, regardless of whether they have been married four weeks or forty years.
My opinion: This was a wonderful marriage book that was really insightful and intriguing, Written in an engaging manner this book really draws on years of experience both from the authors own life and her mentoring and counseling other couples. This is well written and engaging and I highly recommend it,

My opinion: This is one of the best reads I have had this year! The title intrigued me but I loved the book even more than I was expecting. Taking 7 different women from the scriptures the author does a great job at showing how when that women tried to control her own life that things got ugly but how God can take our brokenness and make something beautiful. I loved how honest and down to earth the author was, she didn't hold anything back, drawing from her own life and how often she tries to take control and the end result of that, this book was just amazing. I highly recommend it!

The Dog who was there by Ron Marasco
{MORE ABOUT THE DOG WHO WAS THERE}
The Dog Who Was There (Thomas Nelson, January 2017)
No one expected Barley to have an encounter with the Messiah.
He was homeless, hungry, and struggling to survive in first century Jerusalem. Most surprisingly, he was a dog. But through Barley’s eyes, the story of a teacher from Galilee comes alive in a way we’ve never experienced before.
Barley’s story begins in the home of a compassionate woodcarver and his wife who find Barley as an abandoned, nearly-drowned pup. Tales of a special teacher from Galilee are reaching their tiny village, but when life suddenly changes again for Barley, he carries the lessons of forgiveness and love out of the woodcarver’s home and through the dangerous roads of Roman-occupied Judea.
On the outskirts of Jerusalem, Barley meets a homeless man and petty criminal named Samid. Together, Barley and his unlikely new master experience fresh struggles and new revelations. Soon Barley is swept up into the current of history, culminating in an unforgettable encounter with the truest master of all as he bears witness to the greatest story ever told.
My opinion: What a fun book! Written from a totally different perspective, that of a dog which puts a very fun and different spin on everything. This book is very imaginative and fun that is quite the page turner. I love the supporting characters and the story line, it was such a fun little read, I highly recommend it!

Long days of small things by Catherine McNiel
This book was just what I needed in my life. Addressing the weary Mother who has no extra time for herself much less to have solitude and quiet to focus on the Lord, this book is an excellent reminder that being a Mother is oh,so important and that you are cultivating some amazing characteristics in the process. There is nothing quite like being a Mother that teaches one to be selfless and put others first as sometimes it feels like that is all you do!
Filled with sage insight and advice from someone who is still in the throngs of Motherhood this book is an excellent read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Unlock your dream by Philip Wagner
This book was such a wonderful, inspiring read? Just what I was needing to inspire and ignite my new year! Lately I have been reading books that seem to whisper there is more to this life we are living and to pursue that fullness in Christ and to see all that He has for me and this book is one of those books. Filled with personal experiences, other testimonies and rich biblical based advise this book dares one to pursue those God's given dreams and to not settle for so much less.
I highly recommend this book ! I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

the Mark of the King by Jocelyn Green
With the gorgeous cover I was utterly excited to read the latest from historical fiction writer Jocelyn Green especially since it was about a little read on time in history, the early settling of New Orleans.
This book started off with such great promise but for me anyways it really did not live up to what I was hoping. The historical detail was top notch but the story line was a
bit too depressing for my taste as it seemed like one bad thing after another happened which got a bit old.
It wasn;'t terrible I just feel this book didn't live up to all that it could have been.
I received a copy of this book in exhange for my honest opinion.

The Beautiful Garden of Eden by Gary Bower
What an utterly delightful book! I was thrilled to get this little gem of a book to read to my little one, it certainly did not disappoint!
The illustrations were gorgeous, they were bright and colorful enough to hold my 20 month old daughters attention which is saying a lot!
I liked how the story repeated the same verses and added new ones, hopefully reiterating the story better with little ones, plus it is super catchy. Loved how it used some bigger words for little ones to learn too!
All in all a delightful book that would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
