Taste and Technique by Naomi Pomeroy

What an utterly invaluable book! This book is a must have for any amateur in the kitchen who wishes to improve ones skills. Filled with helpful and practical techniques this book is unique in that it is from a shelf taught chef. I loved how well the author explained and spelled out how to do things, the steps were broken down quite well.
My only gripe would be that the recipes were a bit too exotic to do daily, they are not made from ingredients that are readily available nor are they foods that I would make all of the time, especially with a little one!
This is a fun book though and I feel once you can tackle some of these recipes you would certainly improve your cooking skills!
