Missing Issac by Valerie Fraser Luesse

A lovely book written by a new author who is sure to become a favorite. I wasn't sure what the expect when I got this book to review but it exceeded my expectations and then some.Written about the 1960's which were turbulent  times  this book brings all of that turbulence to the forefront as young, wealthy Peter stops at nothing to find out what happened to his friend Issac a black field hand who goes missing, what Peter finds out about his town and those he loves will stretch and grow him in ways he could never imagine.
Well written this book really draws you in and makes you feel like you are there. This coming to age story is  about tragedy, the power of love and heartache, at the end it is just a plain amazing book.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
